If the project has any of these:

  • High Safety Exposure (hazardous conditions)

  • Limited Access

  • Critical Infastructure in close proximity

  • Long Reach Radius

  • Large Scope

Then a Helicopter option may be benificial to your project.

We have devloped the process, procedures, safety plans, and all related skill sets to undertake your project and have a successful outcome

Alameda County Water District Project

Damage Control on Berkeley Botanical Garden Emergency Removal Project

Creating a new process. Dubbed “hang and lift”, pre weighing load packages to 2000 lbs. and transfering them to the helicopter hook. Limited drop zone required the limbs to be removed first.

There is no drop zone below the tree, so we decided to “hang and lift”.

Even small picks at extreme radius are critical. Ensuring proper balancing and weight calculations are the difference between success and failure.

This setup radius swing involved passing over 3 homes, an apartment building, and a school. Silverwood Area of LA.

First Pick on the Tallest Removal in industry history to be done by Helicopter, Berkeley Botanical Garden

New techniques need to be tested before implentation takes place. Here we are testing the loop configuration for the “hang and lift” setup. This loop attaches to the hook and the lift line. Ensuring a high safety factor is paramount.

Using Cribbing to ensure the trunk does not move during operations. This preparation was neccessary to minimze damage during the removal .

Long Reach Radius of 245’, got to take your time, and ensure its balanced. Notice how slow the operator swings the boom.

All Projects start with a comprehesive safety brief, and JSA board. These projects are built around safety.

Ensuring minimal movement is important when dealing with hazardous conditions. Long Reach project 220’ radius
